Estimator

Our client is a Leeds based M&E contractor specialising in the residential, commercial and industrial sector. We are now looking for an Estimator to join their existing team, offering a fantastic opportunity with a market leading growing company.

The candidate needs 2 year’s minimum relevant experience with Electrical Estimating experience.

• Liaising with internal departments to prepare to ensure accurate and relevant cost assumptions.
• Identification of abnormal and potential problems with build costs at inception stage.
• Obtain and monitor feedback from the Commercial teams to maintain an up-to-date cost database.
• Preparation of cost settlement reports/ presentations for submission to the Management team.
• Liaise and meet with sub-contractors and suppliers during the bid process to enable costs to be accurately identified.
• Provide information and have a full understanding of new and innovative building techniques and developments.
• Advise and update specification changes.
• Maintain and amend by agreement, Estimating procedures.
• Provide cost breakdowns for buying purposes and cash flow forecasts

The successful Estimator will have:

• First Class Analytical skills.
• Highly numerate with a flair for figures.
• Computer literate with a good knowledge of MS Office
• Previous Ductwork and Insulation experience
• Ability to convert estimating theory into practice.
• Strong project coordination skills and the ability to multi-task
