Sheet Metal Worker

Alpha Recruitment are currently seeking experienced Sheet Metal Workers on behalf of a busy industrial services company based in Sheffield.
Our client offer multi-disciplined services including: industrial insulation, trace heating, refractory lining, scaffold access and specialist coatings. Having been established for over 25 years, they have become a leading company within the duct work sector. 

This particular job would involve working within their fabrication facility which manufactures cladding for industrial insulation projects. Whilst previous experience working in this particular industry is not strictly necessary it would be beneficial to have experience working within a similar industry.

Typical items of fabrication:
•    Ducting and associated bends, t-pieces, etc. – for both square and round ducting
•    Square to round and transition pieces
•    Flashings and tray sections

The successful candidate must:
•    Be proficient in the manufacture of light gauge sheet metal fabrication (0.5mm-1.2mm thick aluminium, stainless steel, Aluzinc, etc.)
•    Be able to read fabrication drawings
•    Have previous experience in using swagers, lockformers, guillotines, etc. (experience using a plasma cutting machine would be beneficial but not a necessity)

What we require:
All applicants will require at least 1 year experience in a similar role. You must be able to provide 2 checkable work references.

Current & Valid identification must be provided before starting employment. This includes but not limited to the following; Passport or Driving License with full Birth Certificate, for EU citizens National ID card, or valid EU passport must be supplied.

Hours of work: 45 hours per week
