Alpha Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a hugely successful retail business who are looking to add an enthusiastic, motivated transport planner to their fast growing team in Hayes.
Already well established in their field, my client is fairly growing to become a leading player in their industry. They invest heavily in retaining and developing staff and opportunities will arise to your career within the wider group.
This role would be suitable for a transport planner who has a minimum of one years’ experience in the industry, ideally within logistics or home delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES - TRANSPORT PLANNER
- Transport planning for a fleet of commercial vehicles including one and two-man home delivery crews.
- Using industry-specific computer systems.
- Driver brief/ de-brief.
- Operational administration as required.
- Ad-Hoc transport office duties.
DESIRED SKILLS - TRANSPORT PLANNER
- Excellent Communication Skills.
- An understanding of compliance within the transport industry.
- Working with other office staff, including transport planners.
- The ability to working under pressure within a busy transport office
- Experience in an operational role in a logistics or haulage business.
The working hours are 2pm - 10pm Monday to Friday. Some weekends may be required due to the nature of the business.
