Essential

• We are looking for production welders who are capable of welding thin-wall pre-galvanised tube. >90% of the job is welding 38mm OD tube with 0.9mm wall thickness.
• We need people who are able and willing to work at some speed as everything we do is about high-volume.
• Each product will have a target that the welders need to hit during their shift, and after that there is a small bonus paid on every product made after that.  Most products have two targets; the first is what they need to hit during the shift and then when they hit the second target the bonus paid per product goes up (usually roughly doubles).

 Main purpose of the job

·         After training has been completed they must be capable of operating the machinery to assist in producing products safely and efficiently at all times including in the absence of the Fabrication Manager.

·          They must also be capable of hitting all target figures.

·         They must follow all instructions given by the Fabrication Manager with regard to the production of M.I.G. welded products during the shift. In his absence instructions will be given by the Shift Manager.

·         To keep their work area clean, tidy and safe at all times.

·         Be capable of using hand tools, such as angle grinders, drills, pneumatic riveters etc.

Pay

• Rate: £10.50 per hour

Hours

• Nights: 21:45-05:45
• Days: 05:30-13:30 
• Afters: 14:00-22:00
