Job Opportunity: Electrical Working Supervisor - Lithium Chloride Project

Are you a skilled supervisor with expertise in Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) projects? Do you thrive in dynamic environments, coordinating teams and ensuring projects are executed with precision? We have an exciting opportunity for a Working Supervisor to join our team at Leverton Helm for the Phase 1 Bulk Acid Storage Tank Lithium Chloride Project in Basingstoke. As we transition into Phase 2, your leadership will be integral to the success of the project.

Starting Monday 18th March.

Role Overview:

As a Working Supervisor, you will be instrumental in supporting our existing team throughout Phase 1 while swiftly adapting to the challenges and intricacies of Phase 2. Your primary responsibilities will include planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing the installation process, culminating in final commissioning and handover. You'll work closely with the site engineer and site manager, ensuring seamless coordination and management of test documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client regarding E&I project requirements daily.
  • Capture and manage changes to the scope of works, assisting in the preparation and revision of quotations, variations, and estimates.
  • Attend and contribute to daily and weekly site project progress meetings.
  • Lead the E&I aspects of the project through mechanical completion and final commissioning, adhering to BS EN 62337 standards.
  • Track, monitor, maintain, and report on project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines.
  • Allocate tasks and E&I resources efficiently to meet project deadlines.
  • Coordinate and manage any E&I specialist subcontractors as needed.
  • Ensure quality control and compilation of essential documentation, including but not limited to ITP, LV Electrical Equipment installation checks, and compliance testing.
  • Manage free issue equipment, ensuring proper installation and function.
  • Raise and submit technical queries (TQs) and request for information (RFIs) as necessary.
  • Maintain comprehensive site registers and support health and safety initiatives.

Site Details:

  • Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire.
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 6:30 pm; Saturday & Sunday, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm (12 days on, 2 days off).
  • Shift Pattern: First Monday of Shift Pattern, 11 am to 6:30 pm (approx.); Last Friday of Shift Pattern, 7:30 am to 11:30 am (approx.)

PPE Requirements:

  • Hard hat
  • Safety glasses
  • High visibility vest
  • Gloves
  • Steel toe cap footwear (lace-up)
  • Overalls or work trousers

Pay Rate:

  • £33 per hour basic
  • £42.90 per hour overtime

Minimum Requirements:

  • SSSTS or equivalent
  • Safety Passport or equivalent
  • Ideally testing & inspection certification
