Labourer

Alpha Recruitment is currently looking for a labourer on a temp to perm contract to assist with our clients production needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience in: Composite Panel Manufacture / Body Building / Carpentry / Joinery

Although full training will be given, experience in the following areas would be advantageous:

• Clean up work areas
• Assist manufacturing technicians on-site
• Handle and transport materials (e.g. panels) and equipment (e.g. drills and extruder welders)
• Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labour tasks (e.g. preparing materials for production, stacking up goods)
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings
• Composite Panel Manufacture
• Body/Coach Building
• Competence with hand tools
• Accomplishing production line tasks by using a variety of machinery

• Operate cutting/routing/drilling and other power tools
• Manufacture of production jigs
• Manufacture of various customer parts; both commercial & non-commercial vehicle related.
• Checking work meets quality and technical standards
• Receiving and organising incoming deliveries
• Maintaining equipment and good health & safety practices around the workshop

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads, etc.)
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Full, on-the-job, training will be given.

Job Type: Temporary contract

Typical hours of work: 7:30am – 4:00pm Monday - Friday
