Alpha Recruitment are looking for a Contracts Manager for a well-established company specialising in 'fast track' fit out and refurbishment works.
The Company:
A solid, reputable contracting business with a 30-year history carrying out projects for local authorities, pub chain groups, hospitality organisations, health bodies and private commercial clients.
Projects range from alterations to existing facilities, office refurbishments, pub refurbishments, hotel alterations, extensions to buildings, new builds, general refurbs, demolitions projects, frameworks, specific remedial works on council housing, school works, and minor NHS works.
The Role:
- Be responsible for the overall management, planning, programming & phasing of several projects nationwide, from start to completion.
- Ensure work is completed to programme and within budget
- Be responsible for project profitability
- Organise labour, materials & sub-contractors for site including negotiating costs.
- Have overall responsibility for health and safety on site.
- Attend site meetings.
- Be the first point of contact for clients, site foreman and sub-contractors
- Proactively manage refurbishment & fit out projects with a value range £10k – £2.5M.
Experience Required:
Previous experience estimating refurbishment, fit out or maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience at Assistant/ Contracts Management level and may come from a trade background.
You will have previously worked within the refurbishment sector, ideally in the leisure sector (Pub refurbishment, Hotels, Education, Health Clubs etc)
You will have the ability to plan and coordinate effective resource allocation including sub-contractors & directly employed tradesmen.
You must have good communication skills and be able to develop good client relationships.
Previous pricing / estimating experience would be advantages but not essential.
You will be computer literate & hold a full driving licence
